  • Held a lengthy discussion concerning funds available from projects that have, or are near being, finished under budget. Mr. Curry said replacing the gazebo was listed as an add-alternate in the Bell Park renovation bids, and given the current gazebo has been there since 1986 and requires maintenance, he wanted the board to authorize him to request City Council to reallocate the available funds to the Bell Park project. Mr. Curry cautioned the Council could take the funds and use them to reduce the budgetary overage occurring in the legal services department.

The board approved staff to request Council to transfer $30,000.

There was also discussion about wind screens at Community and Mulberry parks, the ongoing work at the Community Park maintenance building, and changes to the lighting at Mulberry.
