During its Aug. 31, 2017 meeting, the Forney TIF/TIRZ Board met and (this is the preliminary report, subject to change):

During a special Sep. 11, 2017 meeting, the Forney city council moved forward with separation from Mr. Fisher, and amended contract with city attorney.

During its Sep. 05, 2017 meeting, council held a 110 minute executive session, moved to terminate their agreement with City Manager James Fisher.

City Council will hold a special meeting Aug. 22 to have public hearings on the proposed budget and tax rate.

Aug. 15, 2017 meeting, the Forney City Council approved refinancing bonds to save $1.9 million, spending $2.1 million for Fire Dept equipment, ponders thoroughfare plan changes, approves Gateway Amenity center modification, denies Fox Hollow agreement.
