City Council approves Careflite agreement for residents
During its regular November 15, 2016 meeting, the Forney City Council met and (this is a preliminary report, subject to revision):
- Approved, as a consent item, the quarterly investment report ending 9/30/16.
- Presentation by Halff Associates, Inc. and discussion regarding The East Corridor Project (TEC).
There will be a new East-bound exit ramp past 460; the ramps West of 460 move west; there will be continous access roads.
- Approved the Coserve Gas Franchise Ordinance.
- Approved an Industrial Waste Ordinance.
Mr. Fisher said this brings city ordinance into compliance with federal regs. - Approved a Membership Agreement between the City of Forney and CareFlite.
- Decided on single December meeting (on the 6th) and moved the Jan. 03 meeting to Jan. 10.
- Public input - Linda Gamble praised Roland Pickens, a neighbor of hers, for organizing a mens' group to coordinate students at Claybon, stating it has been a tremendous help.
- City Manager’s report:
- Held a 87-minute
executive session regarding:
- Markout Water Supply
- Police Chief
- Markout Water Supply
- Took no action after executive session, adjourned.
