Council approves Racetrac site plan, CWD rate adjustment
During its regular Jan. 17, 2017 meeting, the Forney City Council met and (this is the preliminary report, subject to change):
- Approved a site plan for RideNow Powersports, located south of US Highway 80 and west of Elm Street.
- Held Public Hearings for:
- an Ordinance amending the Conditional Use Permit approved for a Farmers Market to operate on the Forney Original Plat, Lots 1-10, by amending the frequency of the use from one time per month to two times per month.
Mr. Morgan said the only change was moving to twice per month.
There was no public input. Ms. Penn said she was excited going to twice per month, that it is successful. Mr. Stephens said it was a good thing.
Item was approved. - a replat of Lot 655R, Block R, John Gregg Addition and Lots 8, 9, and 10, Block R, Second Revised Plat of the City of Forney.
Mr. Morgan explained this was the Ride Now property, combining 5 parcels into one. P&Z recommended approval.
There was no public input. Mayor Wilson asked if any residents complained - Mr. Morgan said no, and notices were mailed out.

After input from the public, and executive session to consult with attorney, approved with all stipulations agreed upon.
The increase will be 5%, absorbed by the city using it's contingency fund, so residents will not see any increase.
- Consult with legal counsel regarding pending or contemplated litigation and/or matters in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under Texas disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code (Tex. Gov't Code Section 551.071).
