Council considers road-work bids, holds workshop

During its regular Mar. 03, 2020 meeting, the Forney City Council met to seek bids for roads, and hold a workshop.(watch official video)

• Mayor Penn proclaimed March, 2020 as National Reading Month

  • a Professional Services Agreement with Freeman-Millican, Inc. for providing engineering services for electrical improvements at Pump Station No. 2.
        Documents state this is conditionally maximum $15k contract.
    
  • continued participation with the Steering Committee of Cities served by Oncor and authorizing the payment of membership dues to fund regulatory and related activities related to the Oncor Electric Delivery Company, LLC.
        Cost is shown as $1,660.89.
    
  • authorization to allow staff to seek bids for the street maintenance and repairs, and all related issues.

  • a Special Warranty Deed conveying 0.268 acres of land originally dedicated as parkland in error as part of an original 67.44 acres of land by Meadow Ridge Farm, LP and authorizing the City Manager to execute a Special Warranty Deed on behalf of the City.
    
  • a Temporary Construction Access Easement between the City of Forney and Union Pacific Railroad Company for a period of five months for railroad bridge construction and re-construction projects within the railroad right-of-way located in the Mineola Subdivision of the railroad.
