Forney issues shelter-in-residence order
At another emergency meeting, on March 23 at 3 pm, Forney City Council extended the March 20 State of Disaster Declaration indefinitely, and approved a shelter-in-residence ordinance, effective March 25 at 11:59 pm until at least April 8.
The order requires residents of Forney to not leave their residence except for Essential Activities, and only Essential Businesses may operate. A business may apply for a waiver by stating, in an email to covid19@ForneyTX.gov, how they will enforce CDC "social distancing and other public health recommendations."
Persons who work outside the city limits at a business not restricted may report to work.
Outside one's home, "social distancing" of at least six feet must be used.
If someone tests positive for covid-19, the entire household must isolate at home and not go to work, school or any community function.
The full order gives more detail about "essential businesses" and is shown below, for your perusal.
