Sep. 4 council honors military, adopts budget & tax rate by 6-1 vote.

Mayor Rozell invited military services members from the audience to join him and three new recruits as he proclaimed Sept. 11 as Patriot Day.
City Mgr. Brooks presented the GFOA Budget Award to staff;
the Mayor proclaimed Sept. 3 - 7 as Payroll Week;
held a brief discussion about downtown re-development;
held a public hearing regarding the proposed 2013 budget;
amended the 2012 budget;
adopted the 2013 proposed budget and new tax rate of .749020 (up from .743098) by a 6 - 1 vote.
